Klein Residence
Description
The client’s requirements included four bedrooms, private family space, open concept in kitchen and generous social spaces for entertaining including a terrace. The terrace played a key part in the design given Mexico´s tempered climate. Our client stressed that the vegetation as well as the views be a focal point in the design. The principal inspiration of the design was the oak trees. The goal was to let the trees guide you and make you feel throughout the house that you are immerse in nature.
Statement of the jury
The way in which the design makes the connection to the surrounding nature through cleverly placed windows, open and closed areas and the use of wood and natural stone was a great success in terms of its design. The result is a modern, timelessly elegant building, which promises a high level of living quality.
