The special building structure of the "Interior Tower" was created near Brixen, in the South Tyrolean Alps in Italy. The vision of bringing together various interior trades resulted in an interlocking building complex that is enclosed by a curtained facade. The architects found the inspiration for the facade in using an expanded metal to carry the usual use of a curtain from the inside to the outside.
Statement of the jury
The curtain wall ingeniously translates the theme of ›Interior‹ through the appearance of a curtain, impressively strikingly underlining the own distinctive identity of the elegantly nested building complex.
