Branding MDR: Neues Screendesign 2015

Description

A confident, timeless visual identity was designed for MITTELDEUTSCHER RUNDFUNK. The design consisted of a modular system of elegant, functional, classy but discreet guiding elements that inform viewers about what’s on – and are nice to watch. A series of metaphorical vignettes was developed linking the glazed MDR headquarters with programme attributes in a number of short stories: TV gifts us with insights and perspectives, TV can surprise us, TV can bring people together.


Statement of the jury

The new screen design is notable for its fresh and modern look. Thanks to its modular design, program content is displayed not only logically but in a visually arresting fashion.
