Erlebnisaufzug Burg Altena – Das neue Tor zur Burg

A new entrance building with gate was developed for the historic Burg Altena to take visitors from the pedestrianised area up to the castle via a shaped tunnel and state-of-the-art lift. A permanent exhibition was designed and installed over 850 sqm within the tunnel. It reveals the history of the castle and its importance for the region in an exciting and entertaining manner, suitable for both young and old, by means of an experience circuit supported by multimedia technology. An impressive overall concept perfectly combining architecture, historical protection, tourism and edutainment.
