Audi eKurzinfo is a practical app that uses the smartphone’s camera to scan any buttons or levers in an automobile that the driver doesn’t know how to use. Once an object is recognised, the user has the possibility to see how it works directly on the display. The app also recognises indicator lights and instructional texts – a total of 300 objects. Audi is the first automobile manufacturer to use this method of information dissemination to help give their customers a targeted description of the vehicle’s functionality. An intuitive, clearly and functionally designed tool for anyone who doesn’t like to deal with printed instruction manuals.
