Statement of the jury

Almost half of the world’s population live in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation or APEC. The logo, with its 21 colourfullines, represents the 21 APEC countries. At the same time, the lines form a subtle shape that reminds one of the landmarks of Beijing andgraphically positions the conference. A very elegantly designed logo that symbolises the variety and inclusivity of the APEC members.
