IBM Urban Art Cloud

Description

Create a cloud-based service that everyone can understand, use and enjoy: The Urban Art Cloud. This media art installation lets festival goers and event visitors create urban art by themselves. CPP Studios realized this by creating an installation that made it possible for citizens to create urban art on building façades and irregular objects. This was achieved by using a painter app on a digital canvas, projection mapping and a virtual gallery based on cloud computing technology.

Statement of the jury

This participatory exhibition in public spaces manages to communicate complicated technical concepts in a playful way while keeping the interaction intuitive and simple enough to make it accessible to everyone.
