The Corporate design for Oper Köln typographically translates the distinctive architecture of the opera house. Like a stage curtain, the variable logo opens up its centre, providing space for art culture. The reopening of the opera house in 2015 after lengthy renovations resulted in further honing of the logo: a clear, variable image with a surprising touch of colour.


Statement of the jury

Based on the word mark, the opera/theater theme is perfectly translated into an incisive design concept that becomes a living stage. The design is excellent with regard to layout and design, ensuring a high level of recognition.
