Description

nam:e is an innovative e-bike concept, developed with project partners Rehau and ILK of TU Dresden. The modular frame made of composite materials can be manufactured in industrial volume production in Germany and offers useful integration options such as child seats, suitcases, a smartphone connection and more. The frame has a load bearing capacity of up to 280 kg: an e-bike of the future that impressively illustrates the compatibility of technical innovation, system integration and design.

Statement of the jury

nam:e is a testament to the ability of responsible design to bring about new systematic approaches with regard to production and concept. This is also reflected in the innovative design vocabulary, which goes against traditional visual expectations with its asymmetrically interlaced structure.
