Restwert Ausstellung

Description

“Restwert” (Residual value) is the driving motif of photographer Dietmar Eckell whose pictures thrive on the powerful tension between the peaceful beauty of nature and the morbid aesthetics of decay. The supporting communication measures of this exhibition transform the theme visually and haptically into new media formats. The prospectus of the exhibition consists of individual miniature pictures which are embedded in a folded envelope made of printed extracts of recycled maps.

Statement of the jury

The communicative measures accompanying the exhibition follow an intelligent design concept that interprets the dichotomy of the photographs on multiple levels and understands how to implement them across various media.
