Statement of the jury

"The catalogue for the Generation 21 exhibition is a unique printed work that breaks with traditional reading habits. Unlike other catalogues which rely on numerous illustrations and lots of copy, here a reduced but all the more concentrated form was chosen instead. The catalogue for the exhibition, which is dedicated to the work of six influential families of artists, is made up of sixportfolios, one for each family – each with one page per family member featuring just one major work.The layout is likewise reduced and restrained, and as such is consistent with the overall concept. Printed on high-grade paper, this collection of loose sheets is a bibliophilic treasure."
