Description

Old patterns reconsidered. Material for discussion. Defending Bavarian folk culture against ethnic or ideological appropriation is one of TIZ’s central aims. As a representation of this aim a logo was created combining the entwined arms of a pretzel with a nautical knot symbolizing oneness. It adornes a cotton square, a typcial regional accessory which holds broad appeal and can be used in an endless number of ways.

Statement of the jury

A superbly designed item which, through the restrained and sensitive use of symbolism, elegantly makes a connection between inclusion and traditional attire – which adds up to a bold statement about tolerance.
