See- und Sporthotel Ankum

Description

The See- und Sporthotel Ankum was bought by a local entrepreneur who is closely rooted in the region. He wanted to breathe new life into the somewhat outdated hotel through modernisation measures. The modernisation and upgrade of all public spaces was carried out in 2015/2016 by Büro Korb in two construction phases while the hotel continued its normal operations.

Statement of the jury

When guests first enter this hotel they encounter a contemporary decor featuring striking details revolving around the subject of horseback riding. The lighting design is also excellent and has been superbly carried over to the restaurant.
