Description

From its prehistoric time to the present day, Wiesbaden’s diverse culture is on display on a meandering board. With a wide variety of objects twelve chronological sections wind their way through the vault forming a crystal sculpture in the historical Market cellar, renovated for this specific purpose. Narrated by citizens, based on their favorite object, portions of Wiesbaden’s history are re-told. At the end of the excursion, visitors can select their favourite object from a database.

Statement of the jury

The “meandering band” used here leads the visitor through the exhibition chronologically. With its contemporary design aesthetic, this sculptural element forms a striking contrast with the existing building.
