Description

The JØLLE is made from all-natural materials including stone pine, and is completely metal-free. Knotless wood, straight lines and simple forms are used to create a timeless, modern baby cradle. Stone pine, due to its essential oils, provides a cosy and calming room environment. The visual cover is hand-crafted from felt. The mattress is made from coconut fibre, sheep’s wool, and a linen casing. The JØLLE stands for sustainable design and production – it is a piece of furniture that should be passed down from generation to generation.

Statement of the jury

The JØLLE is a cradle featuring an outstanding design down to the last detail and a totally contemporary look thanks to its simple and uncluttered design. Plus it is made entirely of natural materials such as pine, felt, coconut fibres and linen – and even wood screws. The cradle’s magnificent craftsmanship is evidenced by its impeccable workmanship, the thickness of the felt used in it, how carefully the felt is sewn to the cradle – and above all the elaborate form of the runners. An altogether successful product whose quality and safety are readily apparent at first glance – attributes that also remain equally evident upon closer inspection.
