Weingut Scheidgen
Description
On the site of the former machine shed, a new wine shop of the Scheidgen Winery has now been created. The visitor experiences this when entering the new Winzerhof as a cubic building completely open at the corner, whose massive outer and inner walls consist entirely of Grauwacke (local Stone), and thus form a strong formal contrast to the opening. The entire interior was planned by the architect and is made of solid oak.

Statement of the jury
A striking stone-wall aesthetic harmonises impeccably here with clear, contemporary and minimalist architecture. An elegant design that superbly conveys the winery’s identity.
