INNOVATIVE, SUSTAINABLE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING. Hoffnungshaus Rohrackerweg is part of a modular system for residential buildings made of timber construction. The main target is shared housing for refugees and locals. The soft, curvy and positive architectural expression contrasts with the rational and functional container architecture of camps and temporary solutions. It strengthens the identification of inhabitants with their new home, as well as the neighbourhood’s acceptance of the building and its peoples.
