Weinkellerei Winzerhof Dockner

Description

The Winzerhof Dockner wine cellar is a modern utilitarian building optimising business to ensure sustainability and resource conservation. The aim was to keep up a workflow within the building that meets the wine-grower’s needs when producing his award-winning wine. A structure with a rectangular footprint has been placed on the elongated property, which stretches from east to west. A curved wall with the logo leads to the inside, where the golden room, the heart of the facility, is located.

Statement of the jury

The modern design, with its elegant exposed concrete aesthetics, makes cleverly playful use of original details in the architectural idiom, such as the bent-up wall in the foyer and slanted surfaces, which gives it a unique touch.
