Description

The expansion of the Saluzzo carabinieri barracks has been achieved by building adjacent to the existing building to a new two-storey building at »L«. It’s a building of reassuring solidity, characterised by a texture of façade in vertical sections of different width to dynamize the front. The misalignment of the holes door/window, almost slits, are intended to characterise contemporary geometries: a small contemporary object in historical Saluzzo.

Statement of the jury

The building immediately catches the eye with its green façade and striking profile, but its simple architecture still achieves a discreet structural harmony with the buildings in its immediate vicinity.
