Sari Tower

Description

A unique, mixed-use landmark building composed of hotel suites, offices, apartments and restaurants located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Simplicity, clarity, hierarchy and separation of functions, resulting in various levels of green terraces overlooking the sea view and defining the building shape as a unique landmark. The four courtyards are pulled out from the exterior perimeter, while the double-skin façade treatment provides a pleasant view, allows light to flood the spaces, and minimise heat gain.

Statement of the jury

The four skilfully interconnected structures, each of a different height, lend the building an unmistakeable sculptural appearance – an impression that is further enhanced by the laconic design of the façade.
