X Shore’s Eelex 8000 is manufactured with the latest CAD technology and created with traditional Swedish craftsmanship. Inspired by the electric eel, each X Shore craft features a modular interior and a hull that is optimised for efficient passage through water. We select colours that complement our natural surroundings. When our engineers create, they consider wildlife as well as our clients. Our emphasis on total silence is based on a respect for life beneath as well as above the surface.

Statement of the jury

The motorboat is powered electrically, as is elegantly and beautifully visible in the clear, minimalist design. One original detail is the striking figurehead in the shape of an electric eel.
