Bo Space Hangzhou

Description

BO Space is located in HE Park which used to be an old industry factory in Hangzhou and is now a cultural gathering place in Xixi Wetland. Buildings are getting old and memories are being lost. But we can keep the memories alive through a design transformation. This complex space is not only a bar restaurant but also a multifunctional spot for people living in the city. Anyone can find what they like here, whether it’s a ray of sunshine, an art exhibition, a good meal or a slow pace of living.

Statement of the jury

The transformation of an old factory into a cultural bar restaurant was carried out to a high creative standard. In this way, the historical architecture is not only preserved as cultural heritage, but also maintained for further use by the community.
