Description

The straightforward product language of the androidtv remote control is determined by levelled hard key caps and a clearly raised navigational ring. Scalable depending on the technology integrated, a set-top box was designed with a consistent look and feel. The highly polished surface is levelled downwards, enhanced by a subtle lightning effect which creates a floating appearance. Together, the remote control and set-top box form a consistent unit in terms of materiality and most precise finish.

Statement of the jury

Presenting as reduced, low profile, sleek and modern with stylish black shading, the remote and set-top box are outwardly perfectly balanced counterparts. A beguiling combination of inverted stand and lighting produce a floating appearance for the set-top box, which harmonises with the clean lines and raised elements of the remote.
