Mature Man’s Private Space

Mature Man’s Private Space

Description

This residential spatial planning project transformed the double open balconies into a space for small gatherings, while the indoor space is the living area for a mature man’s work and entertainment. The building itself is a long and narrow symmetrical space, hence the axially symmetrical arrangement is adopted. The right half of the axis is the public area, while the left half is the private space, with the landscape-style corridor as the intermediary zone to maintain spatial privacy.

Statement of the jury

The long, narrow floor plan has been put to optimal use. High-quality materials, subtle colours and an elegant design idiom create a modern interior that promises a pleasant living atmosphere.
