THE aesthetic OF BLACK is a calendar edition limited to 150 pieces and comes with an exclusive compartment made of multiple layers of solid blackboard. Printed in LED UV offset, the monochrome pictures show an outstanding dynamic range. For the first time a calendar was produced in »Italian binding«, a well-established variation of the layflat method. The Italian binding leads to an inner block folding open perfectly flat and landscape prints with smooth transition and perfect fit.

Statement of the jury

The fantastically produced calendar implements the theme of BLACK at an extremely high level of quality in terms of both its form and content. In addition to its aesthetic visual language, the design displays a convincingly creative handling of typography that works together with the strong texts to achieve a holistic effect.
