The Mask That Ate The Virus

The Mask That Ate The Virus

Description

Swiss biotech company Livinguard developed a textile for reusable masks that inactivates viruses (incl. COVID-19) upon impact. This idea is brought to life in the packaging: The mask comes in a sterile package and – when slid up and down – an attached plastic strip animates a virus that gets »eaten« in the process, adding some urgently needed humour in these desperate days. To avoid the mix up of masks among family members, differently coloured adjustment clips are provided for customisation.

Statement of the jury

Instructive packaging for a recyclable protection mask that inactivates viruses (incl. Covid 19). A plastic strip surrounds the sterile packaging and – when it is moved over the graphics – eats the virus. Different coloured clips prevent masks being mixed up. A health product perfectly yet humorously packaged.
