SAP Foodhall

Description

Germany’s first indoor street-food hall is an alternative to a classic canteen. An old warehouse as a perfect location between two SAP factory sites becomes a system catering hub. The former factory gate with its huge glass front illuminates the steel construction. The neon-coloured signage system between wooden pallets and technical tubes supports an authentic street-work flair. A plateau on steel stilts opens up space to enjoy at lofty heights. Work – Dine – Perform!

Statement of the jury

The idea of an indoor street-food hall as an alternative to the traditional canteen was consistently implemented and has succeeded at a high level of design in terms of both function and form. The exciting contrast between an industrial look and modern street-food gastronomy is fantastic and it has created an extraordinary atmosphere.
