Bank Zimmerberg

Description

Industrial hall becomes a bank: The aim was to convert a single-storey industrial hall into the new headquarters of Bank Zimmerberg, reflecting the bank’s culture and values for employees and clients. Mint Architecture developed three sculptural volumes creating two levels to structure the space and form enclosed areas. The design combines traditional materials with innovative forms. Rounded cubes are discreetly branded with the lasered-in »Z«.

Statement of the jury

The elegant cubes integrated in the room form an exciting contrast to the industrial building with their markedly round corners and quality materials. At the same time, the historical architecture remains visible and retains the generous open feel.
