Panorama³

Description

The Panorama³ project gives the former prefabricated housing district of Chemnitz-Hutholz a new perspective for the future. Three distinctively designed residential buildings are grouped together as an independent urban ensemble with high-quality architecture and an open-space design. The pentagonal buildings playfully deal with the urban references and offer a variety of views of the surrounding panorama. The principle of the common centre is also continued inside the houses.

Statement of the jury

The polygonal outline reminiscent of a pentagon orients the building in every direction and as a result allows a dialogue to arise with the environment. The overall appearance of the architecture is modern and sophisticated.
