Jüdisches Museum Frankfurt

Jüdisches Museum Frankfurt

Description

The permanent exhibition in the Rothschild Palais, a listed building, is dedicated to Jewish history since the Enlightenment in Frankfurt on three floors. The exhibition design is sensitive to the historical building and presents the exhibits, some of which are very personal, in a differentiated way. Light, bright rooms in combination with a variety of seating options and a calm media rhythm create a sense of tranquillity and concentration. Numerous listening and touch stations, as well as a varied children's track, invite visitors to linger. Together with precisely fitting media and expansive media installations, visitors are offered an appealing and inclusive experience.

Statement of the jury

The exhibition at the Jewish Museum Frankfurt, which is convincing in form and content down to the last detail, illustrates Jewish history in Frankfurt since the time of the Enlightenment in a differentiated and sensitive way and makes it emotionally tangible for the visitors.
