Roads to Rome

Do all roads lead to Rome? The answer to one of the biggest unsolved questions of mobility. Roads to Rome is a data viz project exploring one of the biggest unsolved quests of mobility: Do all roads really lead to Rome? The saying “all roads lead to Rome” might refer to a bronze monument dating back to 20 BC. This milestone was used as a reference point for all journeys through the Roman Empire. The outcome of this project is somewhere between data visualisation and data art, unveiling mobility patterns at a large scale down to detailed views of urban mobility fabric.
