Therme Fügen

The extension of the Therme Zillertal forms an independent ensemble of two precisely positioned volumes that respect and reorganize the heterogeneous existing building. Greened joints create distance while mediating between old and new. Clear volumes and generous glazing connect architecture and landscape. Timber defines structure and atmosphere: a steel-timber hybrid, exposed solid timber ceilings and larch facades create a warm, natural identity. A new covered entrance, alongside expanded spa, relaxation and children’s areas, completes the existing complex as a clear, functionally differentiated whole.
