Your Options With an Award
Your project has been nominated? Congratulations! Then you have the opportunity to show this in your marketing with the nominee package:
- Unlimited use of the label for your communication measures
- Personalized documents as PDF for internal and external communication
- Communication tools including text modules for your own press releases
- Social media frames for various platforms
* All prices are per project and do not include the applicable value-added tax.
Do you run a small business and lack the financial means to participate in the German Design Awards? Once you have registered, you can apply for funding from the German Design Council. If your funding application is approved, we will waive all service fees if your entry receives a distinction. If your application is unsuccessful, you can withdraw your entry from the Awards.

What the Funding Covers
If your entry receives Gold or Winner, we will waive all service fees, subject to approval. The mandatory registration fee, the project handling fee for the jury session and optional services such as the nominee package are not included.
Requirements for Funding
- Your company generated annual turnover of no more than EUR 100,000 in each of the two preceding years (2024 and 2025).
- You can provide officially verified proof of turnover for 2024 and 2025 in German or English.
- If you do not yet have proof of turnover for 2025, you may submit a business management analysis (BWA).
- If your company was founded in 2024, you may submit an extract from the commercial register.
What You Need to Know
- A maximum of three funding applications may be submitted per company.
- Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Submission deadline
The application should be submitted within 14 days of approval of the submission via the “Application for Funding” form. Applications submitted after 11 September 2026 cannot be considered.
Service Packages & Fees
In the case of an award, you will receive a comprehensive service package to enable you to communicate your success to a wide audience. By registering for the award, you agree to any service fees that may be incurred. These vary depending on the award level (Winner or Gold) and discipline (Excellent Architecture, Excellent Product Design or Excellent Communications Design).

- You’ll get a white paper and text blocks for your press and social media communication
- Your project or product will be presented with a short text, photo, credits, and a link in our online gallery
- You will have access to our extended Marketing Services
- You will be invited to the Award Show** in January 2027
- At the Award Show, you can have professional photos taken in front of the photo wall
- You will receive an official short statement from the jury about your award
- You will receive a short clip about your project or product – for free use on social media
- Unlimited use of the label for your communication efforts
- You will receive two personalized documents

- You will have access to our extended Marketing Services
- You will be invited to the Award Show** in January 2027
- At the Award Show, you can have professional photos taken in front of the photo wall

- Your project or product will be displayed in the German Design Awards exhibition at the Award Show
- We will create a targeted ad for your project or product on Meta, including a link
- As a Gold winner, you will receive a high-quality award sculpture with the „Gold“ label
- Your award will be officially presented to you on stage at the Award Show

** Participation only possible after timely registration and subject to available ticket contingent.
Note: If an award (Winner or Gold) is given in an additional category, service fees will be charged for the additional service package.
