Abiko Collective Housing reconnects residents with nature, history, and community. Inspired by bird hides, deep balconies, and shared observation spaces integrate everyday life with Lake Teganuma’s restored landscape. Open communal areas, rooftop terraces, and dual-orientation access foster social interaction and resilience. The project transforms housing into a living landmark, bridging urban life, ecological awareness, and cultural memory, creating a sustainable, participatory environment that strengthens city-nature-human connections.
