Details

The Behr'sche Villa in Dresden, which had been standing as a ruin for 30 years, once belonged to the former Saxon Finance Minister August von Behr. It was built in 1827 and has been saved from further deterioration through extensive restoration efforts. The condition was marked by water damage, fire damage, and dry rot throughout all floors. It has been transformed into a modern office building and now also houses the TSSB Dresden location.

The Jury‘s Statement

After the renovation, the villa from 1827 presents itself with a successful mix of historical inventory and modern design language. Inside, the purist ambience captivates with an exciting contrast of clean surfaces and preserved rough past.
