To understand the present of the sensitively renovated single-family house, one must know its history: Built not far from Stuttgart's important Weißenhofsiedlung and at the same time as the houses of Le Corbusier, Gropius and van der Rohe, the ambitious building application of 1927 was ahead of its time even then.
The Jury‘s Statement
The renovation of the historic residential building from the 1920s combines the past with the modern present in an extremely sensitive manner and at a high design level, thus preserving a piece of architectural history.
