Klinikum Kulmbach

The architectural partnership H2M and ash has planned an expansion of the hospital in Kulmbach. An efficient double-ring structure with new buildings in the south and the west, including the renovation of existing buildings, will be created within three construction steps. The implementation of a functional and powerful structure without neglecting the entitlement of a health-promoting atmosphere was the overarching aim for the project. High-quality architecture linked with selected materials makes an important contribution to support people's recovery. Detailed panoramic windows with generous glazing and low parapets focus the view in the wide space of the landscape like a passe-partout.
