Details
The project was to renovate an obsolete rural primary school into a boutique hotel. To transform a solid masonry building with a tight budget, a strategy of intervention was adopted to form a “bricolage” of the old and the new. From furniture to add-on structure, in-situ fabricating techniques help to achieve an atmosphere that coheres with the context. Spatial elements become moderators of scale and experience, as well as responsive solutions for technical issues.
