Obayashi Corporation Sendai Umeda Dormitory has been reborn as a wooden hybrid building composed of cross-laminated timber (CLT) units, working to rebuild ageing dormitories and achieve carbon neutrality. While paying attention to the diversity of its employees, Obayashi Corporation aimed for a healthy dormitory life that is kind to the mind and body, based on the spirit of well-being.

The dormitory not only impresses with its modern architectural style and contemporary comfort, but also meets the requirements of sustainability. The high proportion of wood used creates a pleasantly warm and natural living atmosphere.
