Warrior Skate

Warrior launched the Alpha Pro skate at SAP Garden Munich. ilumy created the complete arena content for three connected LED surfaces: a 263-metre fascia board, the 360-degree rink band and the 209 sqm video cube. The story is what a skate does. The blade cuts, the ice breaks, and the more power the skater puts down, the further the image tears open. Braking turns the fracture into an ice storm. Enough surface always remains to read as ice, and from it the image reassembles, crystal clear, into product name and logo. Skate, ice and shards were built in 3D. To control the fracture precisely, ilumy developed its own After Effects plugin.
