Details
The bike lane system: a mobile and flexible installation system used to set up temporary and permanent bike lanes. Its unique design allows a firm installation on the ground with no need for any bolting. It’s a BASt-approved traffic guidance system. The physical and visual separation between the road and cycle lane offers cyclists sufficient space for a safe ride. In case of emergency, however, it can be overrun by emergency vehicles with no risk of damage to the vehicle or the system
The Jury‘s Statement
The "Bike Lane System" provides a spatial and visual separation between the roadway and the cycle lane thanks to its raised construction and signal-coloured bollards. The fact that the system does not need to be bolted down, can be used temporarily and can also be easily driven over by emergency vehicles shows how well thought-out the design is.
