Details
The Hövding, the airbag for urban cyclist, was founded in Sweden in 2005. The current Hövding 3 is a further development in the third generation and is therefore even more effective and safer. The Hövding 3 registers the movement of the cyclist 200 times per second. In case of an accident, the airbag inside the collar deploys within 0.1 seconds. This fixes the neck and protects the head all around. The airbag technology offers eight times more protection than a conventional bicycle helmet.
The Jury‘s Statement
In the event of a fall, the airbag integrated into the fashionable collar inflates and protects the head. A stylish product that is reminiscent of the collar of a jacket and is an attractive alternative to the classic helmet.
