Details
Inspired by the skeletal efficiency of avian evolution, this design seeks an extraordinary lightness. Drawing from the natural engineering of bird bone structures, it reinterprets minimal material use into a seamlessly 3D-printed metal form. The result is a topology-optimised masterpiece— dematerialised yet structurally resilient. This design exemplifies the future of lightweight, high performance architectural elements, merging cutting-edge technology with nature’s most efficient designs.
The Jury‘s Statement
The principle of lightness is at the heart of this lever handle with fitting. Inspired by the natural aesthetics of bird bone structures, the design is based on topology-optimized structures that harmoniously combine material efficiency and structural strength. “Aeroflow” shows how technology and nature can merge into an architectural unit that is as powerful as it is aesthetically appealing.
