Details
CADFEM needed a new head office, to be built in the Schammach industrial estate. The new HQ building was to reflect the company's philosophy and values, and make modern working possible by enabling a balance of work, R&R, sport and inspiration. The resulting quasi-expressionist office building divides the surrounding outdoor areas into communal zones and incorporates two naturally-lit atriums in its interior. It is built in solid wood on a skeleton frame.
The Jury‘s Statement
The CADFEM headquarters in sustainable solid wood construction is designed for a contemporary work-life balance, which is comprehensibly reflected in the pleasantly open and friendly bright premises. A successful design that is convincing both inside and out.
