Details
UNStudio devises a human-centric design concept for Hiwell Amber Center by introducing a variety of podiums, public and open spaces, thereby creating a large scale ‘Urban Living Room’ topped by four high-rise towers with integrated functions. It brings people, culture and innovation together, while promoting human and social well-being. The project comprises a mix of offices, hotel, apartments, art spaces, retail and amenities. By extending the boundaries of living and working, it will serve as a vibrant mixed-use attractor, a welcoming gesture in the heart of Hangzhou's new city centre, providing services to its residents and visitors.
The Jury‘s Statement
The futuristic-looking multi-purpose building ‘Hiwell Amber Center’ with office, hotel, residential and commercial units focuses on a people-centred design that redefines urban qualities at a high level of design. The range of platforms and open spaces promotes social interaction and cultural experiences. This approach creates an inviting atmosphere and strengthens the dynamism of the neighbourhood.
