Commissie Tegemoetkoming – Compensation Committee of the Dutch Railways

During WWII, NS trains transported Dutch Jews, Roma and Sinti to transit camps from which they would be taken to extermination camps abroad. For their role in this tragedy, NS decided to grant compensation to survivors and immediate relatives. We made a typographic, unobtrusive style without color or illustrations. The logo symbolises arms reaching out: a compensation that can never rectify, but serves as a moral gesture to express recognition of the suffering, inflicted with the help of NS.
