Details
A local wine shop filled with nostalgic emotion. Klaas Wein is located in a house dating back to 1541 and takes its name from a previous owner, Mathilda Klaas, who as a soprano in the 40’s danced and sang for soldiers in northern Africa. The shops identity borrows from the idea of her life - blooming flowers, chaos, constancy, rebirth and creation - the old and the new together. The cheerful, fresh combination of pink and red is combined with nostalgic pictures – themselves alienated with flowers masking the faces of the past. The concept and palette is echoed by the minimalist interior design.
