Details
The exhibition marks 200 years of Vista Alegre porcelain at the Palácio Nacional da Ajuda. A 6m-high oval structure, clad in mirrored gold Alucobond, creates a dialogue between the installation and the historic setting. Its reflective exterior contrasts with the ornate interiors. Inside, a white “biscuit” background highlights 400 porcelain pieces on custom supports. A 360º layout traces two centuries of design. Around the structure, visitors encounter the porcelain-making process and a visual axis to Clare Twomey’s installation. A golden infinity-shaped table concludes the exhibition, echoing the brand identity and the bicentenary.
