Wunder von Lengede Museum

On 24 October 1963, a thunderous roar shook the Lengede-Broistedt mine. The mining disaster became an event that captured the world‘s attention and left a lasting mark on the collective memory. The »Wunder von Lengede« Museum tells the story of 129 miners fighting for survival underground, while on the surface a dramatic race against time unfolds. The exibition commemorates the victims, the survivors and, through their story, preserves something that must never be forgotten: solidarity.
