MONOis1

"Form follows structure" was the guiding principle for a design that is not extraordinary, but very reserved and conforms to the laws of everyday life. It is a great challenge to design a chair that is made in one piece, that is modern, useful and at the same time elegant in any environment. MONOis1 takes up the typology of a classic four-legged chair and develops it into a solitary object with sophisticated shape transitions and edge gradients. The static logic and an extremely low use of material result from the interaction of stiffening surfaces and finely modeled cross sections.
